Charity Burbage by La-petit-Marianna Charity Burbage by La-petit-Marianna
And here’s poor Charity Burbage, last in the ‘Hogwarts staff’ series.
I imagine that Burbage -considering she’s pureblood- would be a total muggle nerd like Arthur Weasley and let’s be honest guys, who wouldn’t be excited learning about science and technology! I mean magic’s amazing and all but muggles have sent satellites and probes to fucking space, what sort of thing can beat the ISS? :P
Seriously, the magical world need to step up it’s game!

I had a total blast working on this fanart series -all of the teachers were super interesting to draw and some character design practice is always welcome & lots of fun as well!

So which 'underrated' teacher is your favorite or which teacher/class you'd think you'd like most if studying at Hogwarts? :)

Nicely done! I am re reading the Harry Potter Saga and just finished the scene when she dies, I feel sorry for her! It was brave of her to write such things about muggles while Voldemort was out there!

Thank you! I don't remember her being mentioned at all in the previous books so it's nice that when we get to know something about this minor character is this act of braveness.

You're welcome! Only her class is mentionned when Hermione in 3rd years said she tooke it and Ron laughs at the idea since she is a muggle born ^^

I totally love her floppy disk necklace. She seem so sweet and passionate.
It's so sad to know how her life ends.
Your drawings are absolutely fantastic, so full of personality! If I have the chance, I will comment on my favourites.
This for sure is one of them.

As for my favourite underrrated teacher, it's totally professor Binns! I am an historian in life, it would be totally awesome to study history of magic! *O*

thanks for submitting your amazing art pieces!

Thank you so much! It means a lot seeing such supportive comments on my feed! :aww:
I'm really glad you enjoy the hp professors series (and if I may say so, I do agree with you about Binns! History of magic (as any kind of history for that matter) would be wonderful to study! ;P)
Thanks again!

Your drawings are amazing . Do you have a sensitivity to capture the characteristics of each teacher. My favorite is the Aurora Sinistra. Will You draw the Divination teachers (Firenze and Sybill Trelawney)? Congratulations on your art!

Thank you so much for your comment!:D
Trelawney wasn't included in the series since it was dedicated to minor Hogwarts characters or professors that we haven't seen around that much, and though Sybil isn't a main character in any short we see lots about her & her class in 'The prisoner of Azkaban' + her prophecies play a critical part in the story as well.
Firenze hasn't been a teacher for that long thus it haven't crossed my mind to include him but he might be in a second Hogwarts series at some point...:)

I love this entire series. You capture something unique about each character, not only with their clothing and what they're holding but also with their expressions. Their personalities come shining through. Bravo!

One of the editors of the Lexicon mentioned how delighted she was by the floppy disc necklace. Personally, I think the "mom jeans" are the best. But it's strange ... you fill your illustrations with such personality that for the first time I actually feel sad about Charity's death, not just shock. She seems like such a cool person, and so young ... it's painful to imagine the vivacious, happy young woman you show, pleading with Snape just before the killing curse.

Which is a good thing, I think. We should feel the sadness as well as the shock of that horrific scene.

Spectacular job on the entire series. Thank you for sharing them all with us.

Thanks again! I know that a writer can't make all deaths and tragedies equally heartbreaking, there's just not the time to make each and every character as important and special as that person would be in real life. So obviously when something happens to a minor character, readers aren't much interested or invested but that was one of the fun aspects of these fanarts -to make those minor characters a bit more personal. I'm so glad that this element got to you throughout the series :)
